State Specific Gun Laws

Below is a very brief list of some of the laws with certain states.  A complete listing can be found here: http://nraila.org/GunLaws/.  It is always best to contact your local FFL dealer for local laws and regulations.

  • California - No Handguns not on the approved list found here (link). No Hi-Cap Mags without a Hi-Cap Mag Permit. No Defense/Clip Fed Shotguns. No Semi-Auto Rifles. No M-16 Bolts.
  • Colorado - No magazine over 10 rounds to Denver, Vail.
  • Connecticut - No Semi-Auto Rifles.
  • Hawaii - No Pistol Mags over 10rds. No Ammo.
  • Illinois - No Ammo without a FOID card. No magazine above 10 rounds to Cook Co, Aurora, IL., Cicero, IL., Riverdale, IL., Franklin Park, IL.
  • Indiana - South Bend: No magazine above 15 rounds
  • Kansas - No magazine over 10 rounds: Wichita.
  • Maryland - No Handguns. No Hi-Cap Mags over 20rds.
  • Massachusetts - No Handguns. No Hi-Cap Mags(above 10 rounds) without an FFL.  No Defense/Clip Fed Shotguns. No Semi-Auto Rifles. No Ammo.
  • New Jersey - No Hi-Cap Mags over 15rds without a FFL.
  • New York State - No Mags over 10rds, collapsible stocks, flash hiders, compensators, or muzzle breaks.
  • New York City, Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, & Queens - No Handguns. No Mags over 10rds. No Ammo. No NFA Restricted Items.
  • Ohio - No magazine over 10 rounds: Cleveland, OH, Columbus, OH, Cincinnati, OH., Toledo, OH.,
  • Washington DC - No Firearms. No Hi-Cap Mags.
  • Washington State - No M-16 Bolts.
